John W. Gibson DSW/PhD, MSW, MS is a consultant, counselor, coach, and speaker. He works with individuals, families, family businesses and organizations on issues of multi-generational relationships, health, aging and bringing out the very best in individuals, families, and groups in the best and worst of times. He has been on the faculty at Columbia University and University of Washington and is the author of five books: Family Matters Matter: Stories of Reconciliation and Healing; Personal Safety Nets: Getting Ready for Life's Inevitable Changes and Challenges, and Personal Safety Nets Workbook; both with Judy Pigott; The Dynamics of Aging Families: A Handbook for Adult Children and Aging Parents and Health Care Issues of Aging Families: A Handbook for Adult Children and Aging Parents, both with Bonnie Brown Hartley.
