Medical Imaging Northwest has just opened the area's first all-digital imaging center at Sunrise Medical Campus on South Hill, Puyallup.
All-digital means that a full spectrum of radiologic procedures, including Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT), X-rays, Ultrasound, Mammography and Bone Densitometry are performed and reported without the use of film. For patients and physicians, this state-of-the-art technology makes getting results faster and easier than ever.
Some of the new advanced medical imaging technologies we are featuring at our Sunrise Medical Imaging Center include the new Siemens Espree™ magnet for MRI, Siemens SOMATOM Emotion 6™ for CT, GE Logiq 9® for Ultrasound, and GE Senographe DS for Mammography.
According to Barbara Blankenship, M.D., radiologist and medical director of the new center, "Our images are available near-instantaneously and can be viewed in multiple places at the same time." With film, only one hard-copy of an image is available so it may take hours or days before all parties are able to view it. Blankenship added "all-digital images and reports mean patients will get answers back more quickly."
